Supporters of Solar Tax Credits light up the Capitol
On Thursday, 3/21/13, HI‐Power Solar was amongst other solar companies at the State Capitol rallying for the continuation of the Hawai’i State tax credits. Concerned that the amount of tax revenue lost because of strain on the states finances, Hawai’i legislature introduced bill SB623 as a way to lower solar tax credits.
The rally was intended to bring awareness that the tax credits are an important issue. Customers can really take charge of their electric bills through the use of the tax credits.
Hawai’i State legislatures, solar employees and companies, organizations worked together to find a healthy balance between the state and it’s residences. As a result, today, Hawai’i residence still benefit from taking advantage of the state tax credits.
